Clark Coastals – the story
Our Clark Coastal villas are named after Summerset at Monterey Park’s local landmark, the historic Clark Cottage. The land the cottage stands on was purchased in 1854 by Rice Owen Clark, one of the first European settlers in Hobsonville and the founder of Clark’s Potteries. Built in the early 1900s, Clark Cottage was the first home to Clark’s son Thomas and his new wife Margaret. The magnolia tree that Margaret planted still stands outside the cottage today.

The residents can often be found strolling the tree-lined streets, relaxing in their gardens, chatting with friends in the café, enjoying a game of bowls or taking part in one of the many other village activities.
